The
impulse to create "la girafe" we got from an African tribe
whose women stretch their necks with metal rings. This process lasts
many years and at least the women aren't able to remove the metal corset.
Otherwise their vertebrae would break. Our version is a little bit more comfortable and suitable also occasionable. We use soft ropes, seal them with fine glove leather and add buckles. The basic set consists of six rings, which are sufficient to stretch the neck about 10 cm (4,5"). The length of the rings is slightly different to give a concave shape. As you see, the look is great and our models feel comfortable with it. |
